VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – February 13, 2006 – Strategem Capital Corporation (the “Company” or “Strategem”) (TSX-V: SGE) announced today that the Company’s Net Asset Value (“NAV”) as at December 31, 2005, has grown to CDN $10,286,534, an increase of 259% over the March 31, 2005, audited year end NAV of CDN $3,971,193. The Company also reported net income for the nine-month period of CDN $1,767,522, or CDN $0.46 per share.
The increase is due to the increase in the value of the Company’s resource portfolio, which includes Petaquilla Minerals, Adriana Resources and Norsemont Mining. The results are based on the Company’s quarterly report for the nine months ended December 31, 2005.
