Jo-Anne has more than 30 years of financial capital markets and corporate experience working initially with one of Canada’s largest banks. While at the bank, she spent many years trading large cap energy stocks for the firm’s account. More recently, she has provided the investment and strategic advice to family offices. Jo-Anne is responsible for setting and executing the company’s strategic plan.
Jo-Anne is a member of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada and Women in Mining.
Jo-Anne reports directly to the Chairman of the Board.
Carol Fozo, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Carol is a CPA, CMA with extensive operational financial experience with public and private investment companies, mining entities and global retail manufacturers. Carol spent more than 10 years working in the mining industry with a resource exploration and development company. She has been involved in flow-through financings, private placements and corporate audits.
Carol is responsible for Strategem’s financial issues, cash management, regulatory and statutory filings, shareholder communications, audit oversight, office management, and day-to-day operating management of the company. Carol, in partnership with the company’s President, report to the Office of the President, and ultimately serve the Chairman & Board of Directors.
Carol is a member of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada and Women in Mining.

Honorable Stockwell Day, PC, ICD.D
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Hon. Stockwell Day, as a public official was elected and re-elected 9 times over 25 years at the provincial and federal levels in Canada. His federal portfolios included: Leader of Canada’s Official Opposition, Minister of Public Safety, Minister of International Trade, Minister for the Asia Pacific and President of the Treasury Board. At the provincial level in Alberta he held the portfolios of Minister of Labour, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Minister of Social Services, and Minister of Finance.
Post politics he has served on a broad variety of boards and associations, nationally and internationally and advises a diverse range of clients in the public and private sectors through his international consulting agency.
Chairman, Audit and Corporate Governance Committee
Des is senior partner with McMillan LLP, one of Canada’s largest law firms. Des, specializes in commercial law, capital and investment management expertise, has extensive experience with public and private companies and acts as a director of various entities. His expertise includes audit oversight, governance, regulatory and corporate matters.
Based in Vancouver, Des advises mining and resource companies on capital raising, strategic alternatives and general counsel. He is a director at Northern Dynasty, North America’s largest undeveloped mineral resource company.
Matthew Cicci, CFA

Matthew is Senior Managing Director with Cannacord Genuity, one of Canada’s largest client-focused financial services and wealth management firms. Matt has extensive experience with public companies across multiple industries. His expertise includes financial analysis, capital markets and governance.
Based in Vancouver, Matt advices clients on investment advice, estate planning strategies and company specific recommendations with a focus on TSX venture listed mining and resource focused industries.

Member, Science and Technology Advisory Committee (“STAC”)
Gord, Bermuda based, is a CPA, CA Bermuda,1986, and a CA Barbados, 1991. Gord has extensive operating and investing experience in public and private companies with specific expertise in energy, real estate and financial services. He has worked in the resource and energy business for more than 40 years; his family has been in the oil business originating in Virden, Manitoba, since 1897. (Gramma Grace Mary Williamson Flatt – 1897 – 1986).
Gord arranged the sale of Canada’s largest limestone operation to a U.K. firm, managed the operations for one of Canada’s largest forestry companies, and is the largest shareholder of Northern Dynasty, a vast mineral resource in Alaska. He co-founded EnerCap which bought mid-stream assets from energy companies and co-founded Waterous Energy Fund, the largest private equity energy fund in North America.
Gord is completing post-graduate education at University of Oxford (U.K), SAÏD Business School, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence.
Gord is a Managing Partner and Chief Investment Strategist with Strategem Capital.
Dickson completed his BSc Ag Economics from the Department of Agriculture, University of Manitoba and holds a Professional Agrologist designation. For over 35 years he has been actively involved in agriculture and has extensive experience in the swine sector. He is the President of The Progressive Group of Companies Inc. based in Niverville, Manitoba. Through his entrepreneurial attitude he has grown successful businesses including Winkler Meats Inc. which through its federally inspected facility produces branded retail lines of processed meats and Valley Lea Farms Berkshire sired pork.
Currently, he serves as the Chair of the Manitoba Protein Consortium, a director of Saskatchewan Pork, a director of Canada Pork International, and a director of Swine Innovation Porc.
His interests include conservation, innovation, animal care, and producing branded food products with attributes.
Chairman, Science and Technology Advisory Committee (“STAC”)
Graydon was schooled at Warwick Academy, Bermuda (2001-2015), when he transferred to Seven Oaks College (U.K.). He completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA (Los Angeles) graduating Summa Cum Laude (highest distinction) with a Science degree from the Physics & Astronomy College. He received his postgraduate Masters degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge (U.K.) and is completing his PhD in Applied Physics and Mathematics at Columbia University (New York) where his research focuses on laser and optical physics and quantum mechanics. He has consulted with the Institute for Quantum Computing (Waterloo, Canada) and the California NanoSystems Institute (Los Angeles), amongst other research facilities. In 2021, Columbia University granted him a Masters Degree from their Engineering School and he is currently employed there.
As Chairman of STAC, Graydon’s role is to enlighten management on emerging scientific and technological advancements potentially highlighting investment opportunities.
John Waterer, PhD. PAg.
Member, Science and Technology Advisory Committee (“STAC”)
Dr. Waterer completed his PhD in Nitrogen and Protein production in Peas from the Department of Agriculture, University of Manitoba. He is based in Winnipeg and has worked with several global food production and agriculture companies and has consulted for many of the world’s largest food source companies.
Current areas of interest and expertise include global food challenges, sustainable crop production and value added crop production. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Waterer continues to spend more than half his time in the field.
Dr. Waterer’s role is non-operational bringing an “outsider”, academic-based rigor review of the company’s strategic goals and investment decisions. STAC reports directly to The Office of the President.
